LISA MALOFF UNIVERSITY CENTER

Three Things You May Not Know About the Lisa Maloff University Center

Lake Tahoe’s high-tech meeting hub is more than the newest event space in South Lake Tahoe. Here are a few things you may not have known about it.

It’s Sustainably Constructed

A lot of thought went into every element of the Lisa Maloff University Center, including its impact on our sensitive Lake Tahoe environment. That’s why it was critical for the building to be functional, eye-catching, and operationally clean.

The Center uses state-of-the-art conservation construction to maximize energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality standards, and sustainable building materials.

It Boasts State-of-the-Art Technology

While you may not know the specifics of Creston UI or Kramer Via or why Shure Microphones and Ross HD Pivotcams are the best in class, we do. We can assure you that these elements provide world-class audio and video quality for effective multimedia presentations, online collaboration, and live streaming.

And our staff of tech experts are on hand to help you set up and run your next teleconference, corporate retreat, live streaming, or meeting smoothly.

It’s Named After the Angel of Tahoe

The University Center is named after our benefactor, Lisa Maloff, the Angel of Tahoe. Her contributions to our college and community are considerable, and we are so grateful to her for supporting education in many deep and meaningful ways.

Her significant donation, the single highest contribution to Lake Tahoe Community College in its history, made the Lisa Maloff University Center and advanced degrees on the South Shore for our community a reality.
